The trustees of the Truemark Trust have agreed a grant donation to support Home-Start Colchester .
The grant would enable us to deliver a weekly support group for 12 weeks for 10 families suffering from low mood and anxiety.
The Time 4 U 2 group aims to offer social interventions and shared parent and baby activities, in a positive aim to help to lift the parents’ mood.
Home-Start Colchester has the skills to reach out to families who are isolated and who may not access community services, volunteers can support parents to build confidence by attending the group with a family. There will be sessions on mood, food, self esteem and holistic therapies e.g baby massage and relaxation. The group will provide an opportunity for parents to meet and share emotions.
