Home-Start Colchester has supported many parents to access Local Community Learning. Volunteers have supported parents by taking along information on local Adult learning courses. Volunteers have also supported visits to trainer providers and even supported parents with home learning by occupying/playing with the children. A volunteer can support families in many ways and really make a difference.
Adult Community Learning Essex (ACL) is an award winning training provider offering a wide range of training courses and learning opportunities for adults and businesses across Essex.
The courses vary from Beauty Therapy to First Aid, Healthy Living to Languages, Arts and Crafts to Early Years and Computing to Health and Safety. In addition we deliver a variety of apprenticeships and offer a portfolio of statutory training courses aimed at the business community

Childcare
Little Learners Nursery offers a safe and stimulating environment where children can play and learn together. Children are cared for in small groups by qualified and experienced staff to ensure that the individual needs of babies and children are met. We have a secure outside play area.
Age
Available for children from birth to five years. The nursery is divided in two areas – one for babies and children under three years and a second area for pre-school children of three to five years.
Cost: £9 per morning or afternoon session.
You do not need to be attending a course in order for your child to take part.
